Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate RA: Abigael Mekonnen
Abigael joined the lab in Spring 2023 and is currently a 3rd-year student at Texas Tech majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She moved from Columbus, OH to Dallas, TX when she was 10, where she coached children in gymnastics. She is primarily interested in counseling and clinical psychology. Once she graduates, Abigael plans to apply for doctoral programs, with the long-term goal of providing mental health treatment for underserved populations.
Undergraduate RA: Destiny Rojas
Destiny joined the lab in Spring 2023 and is currently a 4th-year student at Texas Tech majoring in Psychology with a minor in Forensics. She is originally from San Diego, CA. Destiny’s research interests are in clinical and forensic psychology. After graduation, she plans to apply to clinical psychology doctoral programs, with the long-term goal of providing mental health services to children and adolescents.
Undergraduate RA: Felix Rigole
Felix joined the lab in Spring 2023 and is currently a 4th-year student at Texas Tech majoring in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. He is originally from Fort Worth, TX. Felix has worked in organizing camps and retreats for children and adolescents since high school. He has an interest in forensic psychology and the importance of understanding and destigmatizing mental health disorders. After graduation, Felix plans to pursue a masters or doctoral degree in clinical or forensic psychology.
